Dear Valued Partners and Customers,
In light of recent shifts in international trade policy, the global semiconductor landscape has encountered significant fluctuations.
On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, the U.S. government officially signed a proclamation imposing a 25% tariff on specific categories of foreign semiconductor products. Furthermore, the completion of Section 232 investigations into critical minerals—including Lithium, Gallium, and Germanium—has introduced further uncertainties into the global hardware supply chain.
Due to the direct impact on raw material costs and high-performance computing platforms, we will be adjusting the pricing for certain products. Please take note of the following updates:
1. Price Adjustment Notice
Due to rising chip manufacturing costs and newly imposed tariffs, the price of RJY control boards (system and human-machine interface controllers) will increase slightly starting February 15, 2026. Depending on specific storage and memory configurations, the price increase will range from 6% to 12%.
2. Strategic Procurement Recommendations
To minimize the impact on your project budgets and ensure supply continuity, we strongly recommend:
- Demand Forecast: Please assess your project requirements for the first and second quarters of 2026 as soon as possible.
- Price Lock-in: For orders confirmed and deposited before February 10, 2026, RJY will honor current pricing and prioritize shipment.
- Safety Stock: For long-cycle projects in the Robotics and Medical sectors, we suggest securing strategic inventory now to hedge against potential broader tariffs in the future.
- Consultation Services: Should you have any questions regarding existing orders or your technical roadmap, please contact your dedicated RJY Sales Manager or Engineering Task Force.
We thank you for your continued trust in RJY. We remain dedicated to overcoming global supply chain challenges through our robust customization capabilities and rigorous quality management.
